ATP’s Atlanta Flight Training Center at LZU
Airline Transport Professionals has opened a second Atlanta location in Lawrenceville, GA at the Gwinnett County Airport to facilitate the growth of its renowned Airline Career Pilot Program.
The site boasts spacious classrooms, simulator bays and pilot sleep/shower quarters, along with 20,000 square feet of hangar space. In addition, ATP has installed and will operate its own fuel farm to keep costs as low as possible for professional pilot students. Gwinnett County Airport is an optimal fit for ATP, being outside the 30 NM veil of Atlanta’s busy Class B airspace. ATP students will enjoy the challenging towered environment of a Class D airport without the long waits for clearance.
ATP currently delivers more pilots to the regional airlines than any other single flight school, college, or academy. The company is successful through the efficient immersion of students in multi-engine airline-style flight training over a short time frame. The benefit for the customer is the best training on the market at an extremely competitive price. With self-fueling and a spacious training center in ideal airspace, ATP’s newest facility will aid the company in meeting its strategic goals.

Directions
From I-85, exit University Pkwy (316) towards Lawrenceville and Athens. Continue east on 316 approximately 7.5 miles to Hosea. Turn right on Hosea (just before the US Auto Sales Lot). Continue south on Hosea past the airport runway then turn left onto Briscoe Blvd. The 4-lane road will narrow to 2 lanes. ATP is on the left just past the Gwinnett County Police Office.
Housing
Housing is included in the cost of the Airline Career Pilot Program 90 Day Fast Track and the Private Pilot Addition. These are shared, furnished, deluxe apartments in close proximity to the airport. You are responsible for providing your own bed linens and bath linens, as well as transportation to and from the airport. If a student chooses not to utilize the provided housing, the program cost remains the same. ATP also includes the cost of hotels, double-occupancy, while on nationwide cross-country flights. All ATP students are required to have cell phones. ATP does not provide telephone service at the apartments. All utilities are included, and you will not have to sign a lease.

When will the facility open? Career Pilots will begin training at LZU on Monday June 16th. All new Private and 90 Day Career Pilot students starting June 16th or after will train at the Lawrenceville location. The first ACPP class start date is Monday June 16th, and the first Private Pilot class start date is scheduled for Monday July 7th, please call 800-255-2877 for additional start dates.
